An absolutely wonderful hotel that I would gladly return to anytime. Far from the normal vibe of average resorts and classic hotels that stir you up with traffic noise, children going back and forth and the fuss from the people in the next room. It was an oasis of relaxation, where everyone was polite, kind and helpful without nagging, from the hotel staff to the vendors on the street. (more…)

Capulalpam de Mendez added to list of Mexico’s Magical Towns

The tourism credentials of Capulalpam de Mendez, located in the southern state of Oaxaca, were given a boost when it became the thirty-fifth community to be added to the list of Mexico’s Magical Towns. "I hereby recognize and express our pride in the array of great attractions that Capulalpam de Mendez possesses, attractions that range from its majestic Church of St. Matthew and its monuments to the flora that make it an ideal destination for ecotourism," Mexican Tourism Secretary Rodolfo Elizondo said in announcing the designation.

Cancun’s budget crash-in

I have seen many bad reviews about this hotel, but it should be just a matter of what to expect. It is not meant as a resort or anything close to it, instead Carisa y Palma just offers a place to crash and sleep while you enjoy the sights and nightlife of Cancun. (more…)

La Parilla

Clichee? Maybe … necessary? … not really; But how can you go to Mexico without trying out some Mexican food. La Parilla seems to be the echo within Cancoon every time you ask about the best traditional food in the city. And when I went I found out why that’s true.

I must say it was the beautiful trip I went on. It offered me a glimpse of Mexico I never imagined could exist, with all the clichés and prejudice running around on the Internet these days. New lights For the Pyramids

Work has begun to install a night light-and-sound show at Teotihuacan, better known to travelers simply as The Pyramids. Two pyramids are part of a vast complex that may have been the largest city on earth 1,500 years ago.
